Accessible Undara Lava Tube Tour

On our 2 hour Accessible Undara Lava Tube tour, departing 7am you’ll explore Collins Road Cave Lava tube only (one tube). This cave has a short flat walk from where the bus pulls up to the entrance to the tube which has a chair lift to the lower walkway. Any mobility aids will need to be carried down the stairs by participant's carer if wishing to use on the lower walkway. Depending on the needs of participants, a fully accessible air-conditioned coach, including wheelchair lift, is available to take you into the National Park and our experienced guides will share stories of the history and geology of the lava tubes. At this one tube you’ll learn more and be surrounded by the cavernous rock walls, which are marbled with mineral colours and shaped by the flow of the long-since-gone lava.

Given the nature of this tour, only participants with special needs and their group will be allowed on this tour. This tour visits the one tube only, with time required to utilise movement and lifts to the participants needs. Information will be shared on the history and geology around the time availalbe inside this 2 hour tour. Please note, this tour is not for able participants looking for a shorter tour, only thoes travelling with someone requiring accessible or special needs.

Departure Point - Undara Lava Tube Tours - 10kms along Undara Road from Savannah Way turnoff, on right hand side of road, is clearly signed departure point with car/van parking.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour time to the departure point on your allocated touring date. Covered walking shoes, hat, sunscreen and full water bottle are required for tour. Remember to bring your camera with loads of memory space – you’ll need it.
